Midnight Sun is a project that Stephenie Meyer originally started as part of a
character development for Edward. Eventually, Stephenie thought that it would be
cool to write Twilight again from Edward’s perspective, therefore coming up with
the idea of Midnight Sun. Midnight Sun was originally just supposed to be
something she would do in her free time and the post on her website, but she
later decided to try publishing it. She hasn’t gotten a contract for Midnight
Sun with Megan Tingley Books yet. Stephenie is not finished writing Midnight Sun
yet, but she is definitely still planning on having it published. Midnight Sun
has no planned release date, but we do know that it will be after the release of
Breaking Dawn. Stephenie will have much more time to focus on writing Midnight
