Carlisle Cullen is born in London, England.

Carlisle is changed into a vampire.

Carlisle finds the civilized vampires of the Volturi in Italy.
1800’s
The first army of new-born vampires is created by Benito, another new-born to
create a war in Mexico. The Volturi come to Mexico to stop it, creating a story
to cover the tracks but vampires in the southern United States create more
new-born armies, however because of the threat of the Volturi’s return is kept
more quiet and less obvious, in not to attract attention.
1843
Jasper Whitlock is born in Houston, Texas.
1861
The beginning of the American Civil War. Jasper joins the Confederate Army,
lying about his age in order to join. Jasper quickly ranks to a Major.
1863
Jasper stumbles upon Maria, Lucy and Nettie, all of which being vampires. Maria
decides to keep Jasper. Jasper is changed into a vampire.
1880
Jasper meets Peter, a new-born vampire. Peter manages to defy the odds and makes
it past the first year and is put in charge of helping Jasper kill the no longer
useful vampires. When Charlotte, one of the vampires to be killed comes in Peter
runs away with her.
1885
Peter and Charlotte return to convince Jasper to leave Maria, eventually
succeeding.
1895
Esme Anne Platt is born in Columbus, Ohio.
1901
On June 20, in Chicago Edward Anthony Masen is born to Edward and Elizabeth
Masen. In Biloxi, Mississippi, Mary Alice Brandon is born.
1905
Carlisle moves to Columbus, Ohio to continue practicing medicine.
1911
Carlisle is in his last year of practicing medicine in Columbus, Ohio, one month
before leaving he tends to Esme, who is sixteen at the time and having broken
her leg. He then moves to a new area, which could have been Chicago, Illinois.
1915
In Rochester, New York Rosalie Lillian Hale is born and in Tennessee, Emmett
McCarty is born.
1917
Esme marries Charles Evenson before he leaves to fight in World War I.
1918
Carlisle, now officially living in Chicago works as a physician at the hospital
Edward and his parents came to in September when struck by the Spanish
influenza. The influenza epidemic takes the lives of both Edward Sr. and
Elizabeth Masen, Edward’s parents. To save Edward, Carlisle changes him into a
vampire and Edward begins his life as a vampire. It’s possible that they moved
to Ashland, Wisconsin.
1919
Esme’s husband (Charles Evenson) returns from the War.
1920
A worker at the mental asylum changes Alice into a vampire. After becoming
pregnant, Esme leaves her husband to move to Ashland. Carlisle and Edward are
now officially living in Ashland, with Carlisle working as a physician.
1921
Esme’s baby dies and, Esme, out of depression tries to commit suicide by jumping
off a cliff. She’s brought, barely alive to the hospital where Carlisle works,
Carlisle changes her into a vampire. Carlisle and Esme fall in love and are
married.
1927-31
Edward decides to experiment with a different way of a vampire life—taking blood
from humans instead of animals. When he is unable to continue taking human lives
he returns.
1931
Carlisle, Esme and Edward move to Rochester, New York, using the pretense of
Carlisle and his wife and her brother.
1933
Rosalie’s whirlwind courtship ends with an engagement to Royce King the Second.
Coming home one night Royce and his friends abuse her and, assuming she was
going to die they left her there. Carlisle Cullen found her, attracted by the
smell of her blood and changes her into a vampire.
1935
Rosalie finds Emmett after he was mauled by a bear. She carries him to Carlisle
and Carlisle transforms him into a vampire.
1936
The Cullen family (Carlisle, Edward, Esme, Rosalie and Emmett) move to Hoquiam,
an area south of Forks. They make the treaty to stay off the Quileute land.
1948
Jasper becomes Alice’s companion after she finds him.
1950
Alice and Jasper find the Cullens and join the family.
1987
September
13th (September) Isabella Marie Swan is born in Forks, Washington to Renée and
Charlie Swan.
1989
March
Renée gets fed up of Forks; she leaves Charlie and moves Bella and herself to
Riverside, California.
1993
Renée and Bella move to Phoenix, Arizona.
1996-2002
Bella visits Charlie in Forks every summer for a month.
2003
The entire Cullen family moves to Forks.
2005
January
17th (January) (Monday) Bella Swan moves to Forks.
18th (January) (Tuesday) Bella’s first day at Forks High School. Bella meets
Edward, who is drawn to her blood. Edward, to avoid killing Bella leaves for
Denali, Alaska.
24th (January) (Monday) Edward returns to Forks and to school. 25th (January)
(Tuesday) Tyler Crowley almost kills Bella when his car spins out of control.
Edward saves Bella by stopping the van.
26th (January) (Monday) to 1st (March) (Wednesday) Edward avoids Bella.
March
2nd (March) (Wednesday) Bella is asked to go to the spring dance with Mike,
Edward and Tyler. Edward spends his first night in Bella’s room without her
being aware of it.
3rd (March) (Thursday) Edward asks Bella to sit with him at lunch. Edward skips
Biology because of blood testing. Bella goes and nearly passes out. Edward
drives her home and had Alice bring Bella’s truck to her house.
4th (March) (Friday) Edward goes hunting with Emmett.
5th (March) (Saturday) Bella goes with her “friends” (Mike, Lauren, Ben etc.)
from school to First Beach. Bella meets Jacob Black and convinces him to tell
her Quileute legends. Jacob tells her a story about there being Cold Ones and
being the enemies of the wolves and that the Cullens were vampires. Bella has
her dream about Edward and Jacob, showing her an image of Edward as a vampire.
6th (March) (Sunday) After her dream of Edward that night Bella searches up
vampires on the internet. Being completely and utterly confused Bella goes for a
walk in the woods.
7th (March) (Monday) Edward doesn’t attend school because of the sun.
8th (March) (Tuesday) Edward doesn’t attend school again-also because of the
sun. Bella, Jessica and Lauren decide to go shopping in Port Angeles. Bella
wanders off on her own where she’s attacked by a group of men. Edward comes upon
the scene after having followed Bella and saves her from them. Bella starts
asking questions, Edward relents and confirms that he is a vampire-can hear
people’s thought-except for hers.
9th (March) (Wednesday) Edward and Bella make is public knowledge that they’re a
couple and going out. It’s Bella’s turn to ask all the questions.
10th (March) (Thursday) Edward claims the day to ask questions.
11th (March) (Friday) Bella meets Alice briefly when she comes over to talk to
Edward before they leave at lunch to go hunting. 12th (March) (Saturday) Edward
takes Bella to the meadow, Bella first rides on Edward’s back as he runs. Edward
and Bella spend the night together with Edward holding Bella as she sleeps.
13th (March) (Sunday) Edward takes Bella to his house and introduces her to his
family. Bella goes to the Cullens’ baseball game and meets James, Victoria and
Laurent. James and Victoria begin to hunt Bella and Laurent leaves to go see the
Denali coven. Bella comes up with her plan, tells Charlie she’s leaving and she,
Alice and Jasper leave for Phoenix.
14th (March) (Monday) Alice, Jasper and Bella arrive in Phoenix. 16th (March)
(Wednesday) James tells Bella that he has Renée and Bella, in an attempt to save
Renée, runs away to meet up with him. Edward follows Bella, and finds her,
pulling James off her. James however had bitten Bella and to save her life
Edward had to drink her blood to take out the venom.
18th (March) (Friday) Bella wakes up in the hospital with her injuries after
‘falling down a flight of stairs.’ May Edward surprises Bella in escorting her
to the school prom.
September
13th (September) (Tuesday) Bella’s 18th birthday. Alice throws a party for Bella
at the Cullens house. Bella starts a blood-lust by getting a paper cut, and to
protect her from Jasper, she falls on broken glass, cutting her arm.
14th (September) (Wednesday) Edward seems more distant and tells Bella that he
won’t be staying the night.
15th (September) (Thursday) Edward and Bella go for a walk in the woods. Edward
tells Bella that he and the rest of the Cullens are leaving Forks. Bella begins
in a trance-like state of shock. October, November and December Bella
lives in her trance-like state of shock and depression. She’s catatonic and only
does the bare minimum in order to survive.
2006
January
16th (January) (Friday) Bella is attacked by Charlie about not doing anything.
To appease him she goes to see a movie with Jessica. She discovers that when she
puts herself in danger that she hears Edward’s voice inside her head.
17th (January) (Saturday) Desperate to hear Edward’s voice, Bella picks up two
motorcycles and takes them to Jacob Black in hope of having him fix them. Bella
manages to sleep without dreaming or screaming.
18th (January) (Sunday) Bella and Jacob go and buy the parts needed to fix the
bikes. Afterward they eat dinner with the Clearwaters.
19th (January) (Monday) Bella and her friends talk about local bear sightings.
Bella and Angela Webber remember that it’s been one year since Bella arrived in
Forks. Bella goes to see the empty Cullen house. Jacob finishes Bella’s
motorcycle.
20th (January) (Tuesday) Bella goes to work, and afterward Mike invites her to
the movies.
21st (January) (Wednesday) Jacob and Bella have one of their study dates at
Bella’s house, afterwards Jacob stays for dinner. 23rd (January) (Friday) Bella
and Jacob are back in Jacob’s garage to fix his bike.
24th (January) (Saturday) Bella goes to work and then studies with Jacob.
25th (January) (Sunday) Jacob finishes working with the bikes and while teaching
Bella to ride a motorcycle they see Sam Uley and his gang cliff diving. Well
driving Bella is riding her motorcycle she crashes, getting a cut on her hand
and has to go to the ER for stitches. She tells Charlie that she got hurt in
Jake’s garage.
28th (January) (Wednesday) Bella has to go to the ER again, telling Charlie that
she fell while hiking.
30th (January) (Friday) Bella decides she wants to find the meadow and enlists
Jacob to help her.
February
14th (February) (Saturday) Jacob comes over to Bella’s to work on homework,
while doing so she invites him to come to the movies with her and her friends
from school.
16th (February) (Monday) Bella tells Mike that they’ll be going to the movies as
a group.
20th (February) (Friday) Jacob finishes building his rabbit and brings it over
to show Bella. Unfortunately, everyone cancels to see the movies except for
Mike, so Bella, Jacob and Mike go to the movies. During the movie Mike gets
sick, worried Bella notices that Jake is hot, almost like he’s running a fever,
he denies this and says he feels fine. Later, after driving Bella home he admits
that he isn’t feeling very well. After being dropped off at home Bella waits
long enough for Jake to get home and then phones him, Billy answers the phone
and tells Bella that Jake is sick and to stay way.
21st (February) (Saturday) Bella is sick and doesn’t go to work. 22nd (February)
(Sunday) Bella calls Jake and Jake tells her to stay away until he tells her not
to.
23rd (February) (Monday) to 27th (February) (Friday) Bella continues to phone
Jake only to be told by Billy that he can’t come to the phone.
28th (February) (Saturday) Charlie talks to Harry Clearwater, Harry tells him
that he’s been having heart trouble and that Jake has mono and Bella needs to
stay. Bella is suspicious about this but decides to give him one more week.
March
4th (March) (Saturday) Bella is told by Billy that Jacob is feeling better and
is out with his friends. Bella decides to go to the meadow where she encounters
Laurent. Laurent explains that Victoria sent him and that he intends to kill
her. Laurent is chased away from Bella by five huge wolves.
7th (March) (Tuesday) Bella calls Jacob, but no one answers.
8th (March) (Wednesday) Bella starts calling Jake’s house every half hour.
9th (March) (Thursday) Bella drives to Jacob’s house and waits in her truck on
the driveway.
10th (March) (Friday) Bella decides that Jake probably joined Sam’s gang and
talks to Charlie about it. Bella gives Quil Ateara a ride home, who confirms
that Jake is just like everyone else in Sam’s gang now. Bella decides to
confront Jake about it. Jake tells Bella to go away and that he can’t see her
anymore. Charlie gets mad when he sees Bella, worried that she’ll go into a
trance again he confronts Billy about it. That night Jacob climbs in though
Bella’s window in order to apologize, but he can’t tell her the truth, he tells
her she already knows and tells her to think of the scary stories her told her
when they first met.
11th (March) (Saturday) Bella has a nightmare like the one she had before and
wakes up realizing that Jacob is a werewolf. Charlie tells Bella that wolves
have attacked another person and that they’re going to shoot the wolves. Bella
goes to warn Jacob, Bella and Jacob have a misunderstanding about Bella’s
reasons on coming to talk to Jacob. After clearing up the misunderstanding Jacob
tells Bella that they killed Laurent and that another vampire is still hanging
around. Bella tells him about Victoria. Jacob explains a few basics of being a
werewolf and takes Bella over to see the rest of the wolves. Paul gets mad at
Jacob from bringing Bella over; Paul and Jacob have a fight in wolf form. Bella
visits with the pack at Emily’s house. 12th (March) (Sunday) Bella spends all
day in La Push.
13th (March) (Monday) First day of spring break.
14th (March) (Tuesday) Bella works and then goes to see Jacob. They decide to
explain more about the “mythological creature;” Bella shares about vampires and
Jacob shares about werewolves.
15th (March) (Wednesday) Bella hangs out at Emily’s house, talking with Emily,
and then decides to go for a walk along the beach. Jake catches up to her and
promises to take her cliff diving the next day.
16th (March) (Thursday) Jacob is busy so Bella walks along the beach
again-desperate for some sort of thrill and to hear Edward’s voice again Bella
decides to go cliff diving by herself. Bella does fine but not expecting the
current, Bella gets pulled out of the water by Jacob. Harry Clearwater dies of
heart attack. Bella and Jacob almost kiss. Alice returns.
17th (March) (Friday) Alice and Bella catch up.
18th (March) (Saturday) Charlie goes to Harry’s funeral. Edward is told that
Bella is dead and, unable to believe it, he phones Bella’s house, when Jacob
answers and tells Edward that Charlie’s “at the funeral.” Believing he meant
Bella’s funeral (and not Harry Clearwater’s,) Edward decides to kill himself by
going to the Volturi in Italy. Alice and Bella go to Italy to try and save
Edward.
19th (March) (Sunday) Bella and Alice think of plans they could use to try and
save Edward on the flight to Italy.
20th (March) (Monday) Bella stops Edward from stepping into the sun, however the Volturi take them in, wanting to talk to them. The Volturi
agree to let them go on the condition that they change Bella into a vampire
soon.
21st (March) (Tuesday) Edward, Alice and Bella fly back to Forks from Italy.
22nd (March) (Wednesday) Edward meets Bella in her room and explains why he had
left, that he still loves her, and always did and that he’ll never leave her
again. Bella convinces Edward to take her to his house where she put her
mortality to a vote, the majority votes for her turning into a vampire; Carlisle
agrees to change her after graduation. Edward asks Bella what she would want,
when she answers for him to change her, he agrees to do so after she’s married
to him.
April
7th (April) (Saturday) Jacob comes into Forks to confront Edward and Bella about
the treaty and gives Bella her motorcycle back.
May
14th (May) (Monday) Bella notices in the paper an article about deaths in
Seattle. She receives an acceptance letter from the University of Alaska.
15th (May) (Tuesday) Alice has a vision of Victoria and Edward, worried,
convinces Charlie to let him and Bella take a trip to Jacksonville, Florida too
visit Renee.
18th (May) (Friday) Edward and Bella leave for Florida.
19th (May) (Saturday) The wolves and the Cullens both find Victoria and there’s
a fight about the boundary line.
20th (May) (Sunday) Bella and Renee talk about Bella’s relationship with Edward.
Edward and Bella fly back to Forks. Bella receives the first phone call in weeks
from Jacob.
21st (May) (Monday) Jacob comes to the Forks high school to confront Edward.
Edward tells Bella that Victoria had been in Forks.
25th (May) (Friday) While Edward is out hunting Bella escapes to La Push in
order to visit Jacob. Jacob explains in more detail then Edward what happened
with Victoria as well other tings about being a werewolf, such as imprinting and
aging. Bella decides to avoid Edward and goes to Angela’s house to help her
address her graduation announcements. Bella declares that she is going to be
neutral or “Switzerland” in the feud between the vampires and werewolves.
31st (May) (Thursday) Bella is kidnapped by Alice in a “sleepover” scheme so
that she’s unable to escape and visit Jacob. Bella notices that Edward purchased
a bed for her to sleep in. Rosalie comes in that night to try and convince Bella
not to become a vampire and to tell her the story of how she was changed into a
vampire.
June
1st (June) (Friday) Jacob comes to the high school to pick Bella up during
lunch. Bella skips the rest of the day and goes to La Push. While Bella and
Jacob are talking the fact that she’s going to be changed into a vampire comes
up and Jacob overreacts and gets mad. Bella leaves and goes back to the Cullens'
house, when Edward comes home they agree to an agreement and Bella falls asleep
in his arms.
2nd (June) (Saturday) When Bella goes home from her “sleepover” she looks for
various items and can’t find them. Edward determines that another vampire has
been in her room. The Cullens, unsure of who it was, debate over who it was.
3rd (June) (Sunday) Bella talks to Jacob on the phone and Edward agrees to let
Jacob come over and investigate about the new vampire in her room. When Jacob
comes over he learns that Bella is panning on being changed into a vampire in a
few weeks, distracted he cuts his hand. Edward explains to Bella what is
actually happening in Seattle. Edward also agrees to let Bella go over to La
Push while he is hunting. Bella sees the motorcycle that Edward bought, thinking
that he and Bella could try motorcycling. Edward drives Bella to the boundary
line and drops her off with Jacob. Jacob takes Bella to the bonfire and she
learns legends about werewolves and the third wife.
4th (June) (Monday) Bella is talking to Edward and discovers that Edward has
read Wuthering Heights. Alice tells Bella that she’s planning a graduation party
for her. Bella, not realizing how close it is to the end of the year is shocked
that Alice told her so early; Alice has to straighten her dates out by pointing
out a graduation poster. Bella and Edward talk about his condition of marriage.
5th (June) (Tuesday) Jasper shares his story, and Edward fills them in on what
he and Jasper think is happening in Seattle. 6th (June) (Wednesday) Alice
insists that they will continue on with plans for the graduation party. Bella
tries to convince Alice and Edward that they should change her into a vampire
now so that she can help. Renee phones to let Bella know that she canceled her
trip to Forks in order to Bella’s graduation because Phil broke his leg.
7th (June) (Thursday) The first day of finals.
8th (June) (Friday) Second day of finals. Bella decides to spend the afternoon
in La Push, while there she invites Jake to her graduation party. Jacob
proclaims his love for Bella, when he kisses her Bella punches him and breaks
her hand. Edward threatens Jacob with what will happen if he ever kisses Bella
again without her consent. Bella learns that Jasper and Emmett are betting how
many people Bella will kill in her first year as a vampire.
11th (June) (Monday) Alice gives Bella an outfit to wear for graduation, while
Alice is in her room from dropping off the clothes Bella figures out that all
the prior events are connected and that Victoria has to be behind it. Bella
graduates and tells Edward what she has discovered. Charlie takes Bella out for
dinner and the drops her off at the Cullens for the party. During the party the
Cullens begin to make plans when Jake and two other wolves show up and make an
alliance with the Cullens. Bella is given a wolf charm bracelet as a graduation
gift from Jake. After the party the wolves and the Cullens meet in the woods to
work on training. Jake and Edward discuss how to mask Bella’s scent during the
fight. Bella asks Edward to sit out during the fight.
12th (June) (Tuesday) Bella sleeps for a large part of the day, tired from the
meeting with the wolves the night before. Edward goes hunting. Alice makes
arrangements for Bella to be gone during the weekend of the battle. The vampires
and werewolves meet again in the forest. Bella learns that Leah Clearwater is a
werewolf.
13th (June) (Wednesday) Bella spends the night alone, for Edward stays at his
house. Edward gives her a charm for her to put on the bracelet Jake gave her. He
agrees that they will try making love while she is human if she marries him
first. Bella agrees and they become officially engaged. Edward shows her the
engagement ring.
14th (June) (Thursday) Bella leaves her scent in the forest and Edward explains
that her blood doesn’t affect him as much as it used to. Jacob carries Bella to
the campsite and sleeps next to her in order to keep her warm. While Bella
sleeps Edward and Jacob have an honest conversation.
15th (June) (Friday) Bella and Edward discuss Edward’s favourite nights, one of
which being the night they became engaged. Jacob hears this and runs off, Edward
goes and brings him back. Bella tries to convince Jacob not to fight. Jacob
pulls a dirty trick and gets Bella to ask him to kiss her. Mad at herself for
falling for Jacob’s trick, Bella tries to get some intimacy from Edward, who
consists on waiting. While the newborns attack the Cullens and the wolves in the
clearing, Victoria and Riley attack Edward, Bella and Seth at the campsite. Seth
and Edward destroy Victoria and Riley and then burn the pieces. Jacob is wounded
after pushing Leah out of the way of a newborn vampire. The Volturi arrive and
kill any vampires that were left behind (Bree.) Bella checks up on Jake and says
good-bye to him for good. Edward finds Bella crying and takes her into his arms,
Bella ends up crying the entire night while Edward holds her.
16th (June) (Saturday) Bella tells Edward that she will survive as long as she
is with him and he never leaves her. Edward takes Bella to talk to Alice about
the wedding. Alice shows Bella the dress she picked out for her. Bella asks
Alice to be her Maid (Matron) of Honour.

The Blacks receive an invitation to go to Bella and Edward’s wedding along with
a note from Edward. Bella had originally wanted not to invite the werewolves to
the wedding, feeling that it would be unfair to them. Edward ignored and felt
that Jacob would probably want the option. Stricken with grief and shuddering
with anger Jacob runs into the woods and changes. He decides to run off and on
Sam’s orders the pack lets him go. **Please note that it unsaid in the book how
much later this happens. The possible time period runs through from days to
weeks to months.
